I too have been aware of it since I purchased it when it came out. In fact, it was first pointed out by someone in this list at that time. It is hard to tell what is causing this from the exploded view but it should have something to do with a gravity, asymmetric part (s) and possibly something pivoting. You only feel very slight resistance in landscape (normal) mode (distinctive enough though), and I was not aware of it until someone pointed out. Interesting. Cheers, Ken
