Hi Frank, The technician is absolutely right. This is something you should do now, before oil vapour coats the optics, or a speck of oil drips off the blades onto the nearest lens element. And $50 is cheap. Boy, is that cheap! It's almost worth sending my whole outfit across the pond for this guy to CLA for me! John
