Hi, Bob, Of course there's nothing wrong with disagreement! This list would be pretty boring otherwise (as you rightly mention).
I think the original post, by Sid, was pointing out that sometimes the disagreements are accompanied by unwarranted name-calling and vitriol, which is uncalled for. I love a good argument as much as anyone. But, exchanging viewpoints need not be accompanied by berating the other side. Quite the contrary, it only takes away from the discussion itself. Hell, I'm only talking about on-topic discussions here! The off-topic discussions get so heated that some subjects have pretty much been banned (eg: politics, religion and guns). A lively discussion is the essence of a list like this, but it must be accompanied by respect if it's to work effectively.
