I use trap forcus for a lot of my insect shots - probably about half of them. It would be a more useful feature if it worked with all the AF sensors (not jsut the middle one) - but I have to say it has been pretty accurate even when the DOF is fairly narrow.

Anybody use the snap-in focus feature?

I thought it was a really cool feature, it was one I wanted. But I
hesitate to leave my camera unattended, so I haven't used it yet. But I
brought it to work, it's a controlled facility so I think it should be
safe. I have it pointing at a fox's burrow, baited with an apple core.
I'll see if anyone showss up. Even if they do I'm not sure I'll get a
picture since it's as picky as autofocus is precise, and doesn't always
seem to notice something when it comes in range.
