Hi Gang,
Couldn't manage to acquire this fine lump o' steel without telling someone.

Told my wife, she just "sniffed," glanced over to the bookcase-- (where all
the "other" cameras are) but to her credit, she withheld what she was
thinking....

Told my cat, he changed the subject to food and litter.

Told my dog, but hell, he gets in a dither over anything.

Told my son, but he's got other things to worry about... (as in, he's a
marine, one of the few yet to be deployed. Soon, I'm sure...)

Told my other son, but, "What's a 6x7?" required too much explanation... I
had other people to tell...

Told my daughter, alas, she's just like her mother.

Told my other 4 daughters, but the oldest one's 8, and she couldn't quite
appreciate my hubris...

So, here I am, telling all you pentaxians! Towanda!!

A question:
I just got the body back from KEH, where it had extensive work done to it to
bring it up to working condition (film selector knob was missing, the winder
wouldn't cock the shutter; speeds checked and adjusted; clean and replace
all the seals)

Does the winder "wind on?" I am glad that the winder will engage and arm the
shutter, but I also notice that it can still be wound on, even after the
shutter is cocked. is this normal? (Please say it is so, I don't want to
send it back...)

Anyway, Sid is very excited, and if it wasn't raining outside, I'd be
heading for an impromptu photo safari.
