Tony,
I have used both Minolta Scan Dual II and Minolta Scan Elite II. Here is my
opinion about these.

About H/w
Some Minolta scanners have banding problems, except this these scanners are excellent
and I like the
multi-film auto-load trays.

I would suggest, try to scan both negatives & slides shot in different conditions to
make
make sure that there are not bandings. This bands will be visible in sky/light area
and some time in pitch-dark area too.

About s/w
The s/w is good, if not excellent. In minolta s/w you can set color spaces also, but
these options are well hidden!!
S/w uses wizards and one advantage of wizards is that it makes sure that you do not
forget to set any options.
S/w do not have profiles for films.

Thanks
Ramesh

Subject: Scanner question - Minolta Dual Scan III

Hi
Has anyone here used the Minolta Scan Dual III? I have only found a couple
of reviews for it but it seems to be well-received.

Thanks much
Tony
