Hi! MJ> Perhaps, perhaps...
MJ> Personally, and I say this with the weight of my reputation behind me, I MJ> think the *ist D is about the perfect product introduction at this point in MJ> time. Much remains to be seen, of course, in the way of image quality and MJ> firmware choices and camera performance; but as regards the good looks of MJ> the camera, the incredible size, and all of the apparent design choices MJ> evident from this early, partial release of the specifications, I truly MJ> believe that there is not one thing that Pentax could have done better. Oh yes, why not? I also think so. MJ> To me, this product looks well conceived, well judged, well designed, MJ> astutely implemented, and beautifully balanced, and so far I can't identify MJ> any significant flaws. I think the Pentax team that put this together did an MJ> outstandingly good job. MJ> --Mike Mike, the "astutely implemented" part really remains to be seen. But then of course you're right. I definitely agree with you. Pentax remained loyal to its K-mount. Produced an excellent (by the figure of the spec) camera and all in all did a great job. Naturally then, there'd be some people who'd be as of yet unsatisfied with this camera. Their dissatisfaction would have various degrees... I for instance, enjoyed immensely taking my new ME Super with my old <g> FA 50/1.7 to the sea and taking some lovely shots of my family. If I made no serious mistake, I will be posting them eventually... --- Boris Liberman www.geocities.com/dunno57 www.photosig.com/viewuser.php?id=38625
