OK, forget those 645/67 lenses - that's only marketing. But I have some
lenses I want to use with a DSLR and I would accept the APS-sized DSLR
as it is the only affordable way at the moment. Your arguments may speak
against buying an APS-sized DSLR but they don't support changing the
system. There are only two full frame DSLRs and those are much more
expensive.

>User interface doesn't count.

Yes it is! Just try a Canon Powershot S40 and a Pentax Optio. The user
interface of a DSLR is much more important than that of a SLR

Huh? They have never built a really compact SLR. Why should they build a
small DSLR? Nikon has even dropped the APS Prolinea instead of using it
as DSLR basis. And apply this argument to you first point that many
Pentax users would jump the ship: Why shouldn't they wait until Pentax
builds a full frame DSLR? And Pentax will do so...

Ahh, why are you so pessimistic? Did you expect a different DSLR from
Pentax? Let's wait and see how the *istD develops. Or better - buy one
or three, carry them around showing them everyone who is interested or
not so that everybody reminds it...;-)

>The *ist D is forgettable. It doesn't stand out.

Do you remember the Fuji S2 Pro? Is it outstanding? No, but it is
selling very good.

Cheers, Heiko
