Hi,
all the news made me resubscribe for posting this... Wow! DSLR! For
   real!

Now, the "superb" 0.95x magnification 95% viewfinder made of glass
is TUNNELVISION! Don't get so excited about it, the viewfinder is
ONLY HALF THE SIZE of similar film viewfinders, that would
translate to about 0.5x 95% viewfinder in film SLR!!! So even
though it is compatible with all K,KM,KA, even M42 lenses, you
AREN'T ABLE TO FOCUS THEM... (as the details are so small). I know,
I have used the D100 which has very similar viewfinder (as it hase
same size, APS sized, CCD sensor). So it has point only when using
AF lenses. manual focus lenses will be usable, but you won't be
able to focus with enough accuracy. On the D100, you can't focus
manually with any precision. Probably same here...

The point - why stay with Pentax when all my good old K/KA glass
(which was why I chose pentax in the first place) will not be
practically usable with the DSLR? Unless they come with fullframe
version soon, which I doubt (it might come out half a year later,
though, as they, AFAIK, stated the product turnout to be only 6
   months)...

   Grin, Duck and Run

Good light,
 Frantisek Vlcek
