I think so too. Particularly in light of Pentax claim of having fewer bodies with higher sales volume each. According to this logic the *Ist make sense as entry level; it is not too expensive to appeal the *entrylevelists while it still appeal to buyers of mid class cameras due to its comprehensive specifications. But, who knows? I don't think it is meaningful to talk about chassis anymore as the new cameras are probably chassis less. I believe chassis in this context simply refer to a flexible production line and partsbin that can be used to put together several different cameras. The fact that the manufacturer want to make both digital and film versions of the same camera probably demand such flexibility. P�l
