According to Nikon engineers they have no plan to remove the aperture ring from the lenses. Apart from the entry level G-lenses, the reson for removing the aperture ring were technical. Pentax BTW is of the same opinion. There are no plan for removing the aperture ring wholesale from Pentax lenses. P�l
