The point is Gary, that no matter how you do it, all charges and fees should be included in the purchase price for most transaction (e-bay excepted for the stated reasons). If you are doing a 'friendly' transaction through a forum such as this, there is no need to add anything. Just tell us the total price, then we will decide to buy or not!

With the auction process of eBay that is a bit hard to do. What I normally did, when I allowed PayPal, was flat out state there was a 3% "service charge" when using PayPal. Of course, this is the same as giving a "cash" discount... :-)
