Well, Doug, I for one find it interesting to know what people in other countries think of what our politicians seem to be doing. What Bill has said is far from the "You got what you deserved that many posted after 9-11".
On 9/11 we were attacked by rabid nuts. We were within our rights to retaliate against those who perpetuated such an act and those who aided them. And, many on this list will recall that I was in the forefront of those saying we should attack all terrorists anywhere. Instead of following the mandate we the American People gave our government to dig out terrorists wherever they may be hiding, our government started interfering in other countries internal affairs. The leader of the those terrorists are still at large; and our president is ranting, and chomping at the bit, wanting to overthrow another government. In fact, he does not seem to have anything against the country of Iraq, but a personal vendetta against their chief of state. Mr. Bush, has taken rights away from American Citizens, he encourages other countries to act against American Citizens where he can not get away with it himself. He has violated the Constitution of the United States repeatedly. He, to me, seems to be insane like many other war mongering leaders in the history of the world. He has accomplished one thing of note though, he has finally gotten me to register to vote. I tend to be a conservative, but I registered as a Democrat because I find the current Republican agenda to be unconscionable. My problem is the people who propose the impeachment of Bush, are also a bunch of nuts, in my opinion. Once again I find politics extremely distasteful. No surprise there. I'd especially like to thank you for reminding us here on the Pentax list, where we are supposed to celebrate our commonality as people and photographers no matter our nationalities or political leanings. If we didn't have these periodic cheap shots, those of us who happen to be Americans might make the mistake of thinking we are respected and equal members of the PDML community. > > This morning, six Americans and an Israeli citizen lost their lives as they returned from space.
