Hi Gary,

I had the same problem a 2 years ago, and just ordered the switch from Pentax 
(Netherlands).
I could not repair the original one because it was broken and part of the plastic was 
missing.

I know the spare part was quite expensive for what it is, something like US$ 20 I 
think.

Still, that is probably cheaper than sending it in for repair ...

If you don't use the switch (I hardly do), you might just 'cover it up' with some 
plastic ...
