Hear hear! When I used to subscribe to the EOS list (over three years ago), people
would get pissed off if you spelled out Nikon, Pentax, or any other camera
brand....dammit, this is the Canon EOS list!! Isn't that a friendly list? LOL
Personally, I think using the asterisks is a bit silly.....everyone knows we all use
different gear on this list, but most of us are primarily Pentax users. You use what
you need to get the job down and if Canon or Nikon supplies something that one needs
to do the job, then they will use it......there is no reason to not spell out what you
are talking about. I think everyone on the list is secure enough to be able to handle
seeing the word Canon, Nikon or Minolta spelled out.....
