Don't send it to Pentax. Send it to Light Metric Co. in Hollywood,
California. Their phone number is 323-467-2265. They're located on
Hollywood Blvd, right across the street from the Chinese Theater. Light
meter repair and calibration is their only business, and they work
primarily on spotmeters. Many of these are Pentax. They calibrate and
certify meters for almost all the directors of photography who work in
the motion picture business. A lot of these guys won't work without a
certified meter on the set. Light Metric calibrated and certified my
analog spotmeter for less than $100. I'm sure they would be happy to
remove that spec of dirt while they're checking your meter.
