Reminds me of when I was at university and one friend asked another "are
you ready for the exam?".... "what exam?"... "the one that starts in 15
minutes"... "[various expletives]"
Or the ad I've seen on TV here lately: The instructor tells the students to
put their pens down and hand in their exam papers. One guy sits there
writing for a few minutes longer, and when he walks up to hand in his paper
the instructor says "sorry, too late, you've failed". The student then asks "do
you know who I am?" (in a tone that suggests he's famous or something).
The instructor says "no", so the student shoves his paper into the middle of
the pile and walks out.
