hi all,
my name is dwain. i'm new to compiling from source. i finally found a
linux flavor i can manipulate. i've been all over the internet seeking a
solution to my problem.

1. i know that pdfedit will not configure with qt4.
2. i know that qt4 support is on the way.
3. qmake is found, but not the correct one - looking for qt3

i've been at this "hacking" for several hours and i'm so close i can
taste it and thought i would ask a few questions.

i run antix (debian-wheezy). i have libqt4-qt3support installed. the lib
is a qt3 compatibility library for qt4. i also have qt3 downloaded ready
to install as a last resort.

here are the questions:

is there a way to use this to configure the software?
and if so, how is it written during ./configure?
or am i so far out in left field that i'm miles from the stadium? :-)

cheers
