Although I really like this new version it has some functionality changes that are proving to be really... really annoying. I'm hoping I'm just missing some obscure new place where they hid the function (like the set tab order!). 1) Copying form fields: Rant: Adobe 5.0 -- You could copy form fields to save time, especially within columns of information. By including a numeric suffix in each field that specified the row it was in (e.g. Name.1 or Address.4), I could select all the fields I needed to copy, hold the control key down and drag the copies to the next line. Then with a touch of the numeric key pad (+) Acrobat changed all the suffixes to the next numeric increment. Absolutely wonderful stuff! Adobe 6.0 -- Won't do it! Question: Am I missing a hidden function for this? 2) Creating form fields: Rant: Adobe 5.0 -- All the fields on your page would be visible no matter what type they were (e.g. radio buttons, text fields, etc. could all be seen) Adobe 6.0 -- Only like-fields of the option you are currently using are visible (e.g. if radio button field is selected only radio buttons on the form are visible and selectable). Which is truly frustrating if you have different form fields in a row and want to copy them all at once to the next line. Question: Has anyone else figured out how to select different field types at the same time? 3) Setting tab order: Rant: Adobe 5.0 -- I would just right click on the starting point and click the next field in my tabbing order. Sometimes this was time consuming because there were a LOT of fields (I cursed it then but now I'm remembering it fondly) Adobe 6.0 -- I found the new tab order set function under Page/Page Options/Page Properties/Tab Order. Okay... That's a lot of clicking but I can deal with it. Unfortunately I've found it is limited to 4 options. Question: I have to reset some tab orders in one row (because I couldn't copy different field types at once -- see rant #1). I gone through each of the 4 options but it will not reset the order in the row (e.g. I have 4 fields in the row -- the first is a text field, the second and third are radio buttons and the 4th is another text field). The tab is going to the 1st, then 4th, then the 2nd and 3rd fields. Does anyone know how to do this? 4) Saving PDF: Rant: Adobe 5.0 -- You could simply 'save as' which included what version you wanted to save it in (like version 3.0 and later). Adobe 6.0 -- I've had to apply 'security' to the file that would allow for opening and saving in a older version (by some of my owners). Question: Is there another way of doing this? Thanks.
