Hi, Jim Cool, thanks. It worked. For the record, though, this seems to require Acrobat 6 (I couldn't find a "Create Artifact" option in Acrobat 5). Anyway, get the context popup menu. It has a "Create Artifact" choice. I'm not sure exactly what it is supposed to do, but when I select text and "create artifact," I can then take the OBJECT touch-up tool to it and move it around.
