PDF-Forms is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/ __________________________________________________________________

First and foremost, it is rather risky to rely on the client to send out e-mail from a PDF form. The reason for that is that you have absolutely no control over the end user's configuration, and it is a bit foolhardy to make any assumptions on the client-side set up. I have a client, where we are even in a kind of controlled environment, and we had to considerably cut back on functionality for this feature.

The recommended approach is, when it comes to create some e-mail, to submit the data, to a server-side script which then does the rest. The fundamental advantage of this approach is that _you_ know the connectivity from your server to the e-mail system. This means also that you have one single path to take care of and to adjust your solution for.

There are quite a bunch of formmail scripts floating around; you will find them most likely in the support scene for your server-side language (perl, php, asp, etc.).

Hope, this can help.
