This has been a horrendous mess-up since Acrobat 5.

The situation is, at the moment, as follows:

a) Radio Buttons:

Acrobat 4: duplication works as intended.

Acrobat 5: duplication broken; radio buttons not properly implemented.

Acrobat 6: duplication broken; correct behavior can be set with the radiosInUnison Field Object property set to true.

b) Check Boxes:

Acrobat 4: duplication works as intended.

Acrobat 5: duplication broken; checkboxes not properly implemented.

Acrobat 6: duplication works as intended.

Note 1: "proper implementation" means that two fields with the same name and the same return value are switched on and off in unison. This is so, because how else can one distinguish between these two fields?

Note 2: In HTML, the radio buttons are not properly implemented.

Note 3: Just because something is not properly implemented, there is no reason to not properly implement it in Acrobat.

Note 4: The situation can be considered to be fixed with Acrobat 6 (until the next mess-up <g>. However, be aware that the default setting in Acrobat 6 for the radiosInUnison property is set to the "not properly implemented" behavior.

Note 5: The behavior is set with the Acrobat version the document is saved. It will work all alike in all three versions. However, it is strictly "vaboten" to open the field properties of the according field in Acrobat 5, and even more "vaboten" to close the field properties in Acrobat 5 by clicking on OK. This will break the behavior.

Hope, this can help.

I have a problem with a multilingual form that I just cretaed. The form is a
two page one, the first page in Swedish and the second in English. The text
fields and check marks on the English are duplicates of those on the
Swedish. The idea is that when the Swedish page is filled in the same text
will appear on the English page. That works fine with the text fields but
the check marks are not being duplicated, which was the idea.

Adobe says that they have done it this way intentionally.

Any advice ion how to solve this would be appreciated.
