If your editing of the field properties changed the font from the base 14,
it will embed the font - which grows the file a lot!

Subject: [PDF-Forms] Editing "Field Properties" Ballons PDF File Size!

PDF-Forms is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/
__________________________________________________________________

I have a PDF file that *was* about 35k after generating it with
WordPerfect (with Acrobat 5.0). After creating some Form Fields", the
size grew a bit (this is as expected).

BUT, when I start *editing* the form's "Field Properties", the file
starts growing to huge proportions. e.g., after renaming one field name,
the PDF file went from 35k to 100k! Further edits of this seemingly
trivial nature increased the size to 150 and 200k. :( Now the PDF file
has become so large as to render it nearly useless as an online
downloadable file.

Is there any workaround for controling or reducing this balooning of the
file size?

PS. I can send the PDF file to this list, if needed (currently 66k,
using labor intensive tricks).
