Get Photoshop and scan through that, you can manipulate the file size easily from this Application. For screen res should be 72dpi, for print 300dpi -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jason M Bengert Sent: Monday, August 11, 2003 9:10 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [PDF-Forms] File Size PDF-Forms is a service provided by PDFzone.com | http://www.pdfzone.com/ __________________________________________________________________ I have a questions that is driving me crazy. How do you reduce the file size of a PDF? I am scanning images directly into acrobat writer 5, but the images are just too big. When I scan through PaperPort there is an option for an Image Quality setting for a PDF that works great, but I need to scan direct into acrobat. I tried the distiller but even when I drop the dpi way down I still don't get a very good reduction in file size. Also, I am scanning hundreds of documents so hopefully there is an easy solution to my problem that won't take up too much time between scans.
