I'm glad to notice that Marlene's name has been mentioned in this last exchange because she's been keeping a very low profile. I miss the days when she ran a very tight ship here and if you didn't follow the rules you didn't get posted. An inappropriate message simply vanished.
In the "good old days" this present crazy business would have been settled quickly and discreetly offlist without anybody threatening, apologizing, or losing their cool (here I'm talking about my own post last night). It would also have saved us three irrelevant bits of juvenile attention-getting yesterday by some adolescent whizzkid who has suddenly hit the list. They would simply not have got posted. If anyone wants to talk about banning, bouncing, blacklisting, or whatever, I think that would be the place to start. Now that it has become clear that anything submitted gets instantly posted, I'm afraid we'll be seeing more of that stuff. Lisa's efforts at least were well-intentioned and not mischievous or smartass.
