There is a program in the works to Sync TB, but it's not ready for prime
time yet.
I have a similar situation, so what I do is keep my calendar in Outlook
and sync it with my IPAQ. I receive all my mail in TB.
I don't know if you're aware of Outlook's junk mail filter,. but I used
it for a long time and it actually works pretty well. It's fully
described in the Outlook help files.

I have been willing to accept help. I appologized a few times also, for
being a pain and for inconveniencing you and the others. You said
yourself yesterday that you weren't receiving any more spam from me so I
must be working on it. I was working on it! I even asked you to let me
know if it happens again. Instead of telling me it happened again, you
proposed that I be banned from the list. I was trying. I don't know who
Ralph M. is, and I don't know if he tried to fix his problem or if he
was banned. I personally never received any spam from him. But I am
trying. Comodo is gone. I tried it, and it failed.
I promise I will look into Thunderbird, but it might have to wait until
tomorrow.I work nights and have to get ready for work soon. The only
reason why I haven't yet is because like I mentioned before I use
Outlook to synchronize my Pocket PC. Will Thunderbird work with my
Pocket PC?
