Similar info has been available for a long time in MS System Info tool on the Accessories/System Tool menu. These system summaries reveal very specific, detailed info that's as exciting as a new John Scalzi novel. But maybe that's just me.
If you like free and useful applications, take a look at Source Forge:
"What is SourceForge.net?

SourceForge.net is the world's largest Open Source software development web site, hosting more than 100,000 projects and over 1,000,000 registered users with a centralized resource for managing projects, issues, communications, and code."

If you buy software, it's because you're not looking hard enough for a free alternative. When you look at this site, remember that there are other operating systems, so always look for the x86 or 32 bit Windows versions. If you've got a need for a specific app you can't find, let me know and I'll see what I can find.

I second that. I installed it and what amazes me is that there are people who actually use that information. It's really for very savvy users; ten years on the computer and as far as I know, I never needed any of that information. I'm sure it's a find for people who service computers. Thanks, Hugh, and you do have that technique of saying much with few words I would say you are pithy but it doesn't sound right. --- Harold.
