Hello again (Windows XP and Compaq computer),

A bit of a problem with a folder in my Start menu that won't allow for
deleting. Here's what happened: I have this folder called "Administrative
Tools" (in the second level of the Start menu) ... and I created a folder in
another part of the menu (first level) with the same name, and moved all the
files from the first folder into the second folder (the one I made). Maybe I
should have just moved the folder; now it's too late.

Now the one in the second level (which is empty) will not allow for deleting.
I get the following message: "Administrative Tools is a Window system folder
and is required for Windows to run properly. It cannot be deleted." First
thing I did was moved it onto the desktop (that was permitted). Again, it
could not be deleted. And now only the new folder was in the Start menu
(looking good there)

Then I opened the registry, and used RegSeeker to find all references to
"Desktop\Administrative Tools" (sans quotes) and deleted each reference. It
still would not delete but after rebooting, it did delete (everything looked
good) ... but now, again, it appears in the second level of the Start menu.
What do I do now? Any moves or programs that can fix this? --- Harold
