I did it, it's a good idea but for one problem: to access that
launch bar in auto-hide, you have to take each open window off
maximum (you can't even access "show desktop" because it's
included in that auto-hide). When part of the lower task bar,
that's not the case (even if that task bar is in auto-hide)
