Hi..

I have tried unsuccessfully to remove anything from this screen..
actually there are more lines that appear now.. I had two before.. as I am a
novice
I think I am way over my head..

Here is the 1st line..
Verifying DMI Pool DATA API Controller

2 drivers detected..
and a whole list of other things..
Yikes.. Have I made a mess of things!!

Hopefully someone out there will help me get this screen from
totally appearing.. it is in MS-DOS..

I did go to the Scanreg.. and typed in the REM.. on a few lines.. but
they show up as well.. sigh.

Thanks for all the help..

Liz

Subject: Re: PCWorks: bad command at boot up

This probably would be a command referring to something in your
autoexec.bat or config.sys. If
it give you any further information such as line number or file name, you
can check this out and
rem out the statement in either of those two files. Go to Start, Run and
enter Sysedit and press
return. This will bring up a number of windows, one of which is the autoexec
and the second being
the config.sys. If you have the information to change a line, just go to
the head of it and
enter REM with a space. This will turn that line to a remark and remove it
from the boot process.
