I use Nero to create VCD's for my slide shows. I'm not sure if the 5.x will copy dvds but from
the hype on nero 6, I believe that it is supposed to be able to copy dvd's as well. There is a
trial version that can be downloaded. You might be able to try this to see if it will do what
you want.
