I think you mean CDROM DRIVE.  The 'driver' is what enables a
hardware device to communicate with an operating system.

There isn't really much difference in *most* brands since
most are made by the same few companies, and all to the same
specs as far as the read speed specs go.  You may find larger
buffers in some (over 128k), so that is good, and you want
one that is multi-read (capable of reading ALL CD
media...cdr, cdrw, cd-i, cdx, photo, audio, etc).  SCSI's
cost more than IDE's, but they are generally faster.  Of the
brands you list, I guess I'd be more inclined to go with
Asus, Sony or Teac.
