Unrelated to this bug: I have recently rewritten
myldr/Makefile.PL a bit (and renamed static.c to boot.c),
but this has not been tested outside of Linux and Windows.
Maybe you could give it a try? That would be very helpful since
CPAN Testers doesn't seem have any HPUX testers at present.
