Have not used pan for months. Went to one of my groups that has been
hit with random posts. Pan goes to 99% on one core and chugs along. It
is much better than it used to be. Upgraded to the latest version from
COPR and it is much better. Just very slow.
Not using 100% of CPU all the time. Slower download speeds.
alt.binaries.sleazemovies is the group I am trying to access.
Only loading back 10 days.
Pam 0.161 COPR install for fedora.
Removed the installed binary and reinstalled as per the mail list.
Installation Instructions:
$ dnf install dnf-plugins-core # if not already installed
$ dnf copr enable dgraef/Pan
$ dnf install Pan (should be pan, not Pan)
Until I get to using Pan, it is already better than it was before.
Windows update and status does change on a regular basis, not confusing
with being locked out.
Even after an hour, no change on the Tasks window about progress.

Article count does go up. Now over 8,000,000 headers and climbing which
is still better than a few years ago as the count progresses and the
other windows update. I could even stop/delete the header grab in the
tasks window.
Took a long time to move from one group to another but I didn't lose the
hours of header updates
Testing with other groups, much better than before. Even the spam posts
don't overload the processes making it seem like Pan has crashed.
