That helps /very/ much, yes. =:^)

My memory is thus very likely from the old C-based 0.14.x and previous 
days, and the C++ 0.90 apparently doesn't delete the cache files when the 
messages are deleted in the GUI.

I guess that means I've not been particularly active on the binary groups 
in /that/ long, tho I've certainly done /some/ binary activity since then.

So you've helped quite a bit, indeed.  I was beginning to doubt my 
memory, and because I was so sure I remembered it, my sanity!  You've 
thus helped put my mind at ease that it wasn't just some very vivid 
figment of my imagination! =:^)
