I just tried manually editing the setting in preferences.xml from your original article to: <string name='default-save-attachments-path' value='/work/dl'/> and it worked for me (I just saved the text of your article). The new default was immediately apparent in the save dialog (and it worked). I am running plain 0.139 compiled from the original tarball (not pulled from git). -- David
