Given Ubuntu (and thus presumably unity), this may not help you a whole lot, but FWIW... Firefox is my default browser, and it opens fine from pan. But as I run a kde desktop, I have pan's web browser setting set to "Use KDE Preferences" (with kde in turn set to firefox as default browser). As they say, "works for me." =:^) (And if for some reason it didn't work, kde's klipper is setup to popup a menu with a bunch of choices including firefox and various net debugging commands such as traceroute, tcptraceroute and mtr, should I select a bunch of text that generally fits a URL or simply an IP address pattern. So if pan's direct click-launch broke, I could simply select the URL and choose firefox or whatever from the resulting klipper popup. =:^) -- Duncan - List replies preferred. No HTML msgs.
