That is indeed weird. It isn't the mechanism I'm talking about then, or at least not a properly working implementation of it. And I should have been clearer about that: the newline+tab combination is visible in the "raw" (physical) message, but once a User Agent shows it to you, the lines should be combined again to a single logical header line with a space instead of the newline+tab. > Weird. I've edited the subject in this reply to ensure each space is a > space and not a tab, so we'll see what it does. I see no tabs in this one. Looking at previous ones as far as I still have them, I see (in order) (if I make the tabs explicit with »·······) Message-ID: <pan$adc82$e8372829$503411b0$cc0ef...@cox.net> Subject: Re: [Pan-users] How to tell Pan to *stop* constantly asking »·······to»·····install»fonts? You can see that the newline+tab is there, but something isn't removing the tab on "the way in", and re-splitting a bit earlier "on the way out". Or that's what it looks like to me. There are 2 different origins (going by the Message-ID lines (Shouldn't that be Message-Id, really?)) but one is Pan directly and the other could well be Pan via gmane. So it could be Pan's fault. > Jim -Olaf. -- ___ Olaf 'Rhialto' Seibert -- The Doctor: No, 'eureka' is Greek for \X/ rhialto/at/xs4all.nl -- 'this bath is too hot.' _______________________________________________ Pan-users mailing list Pan-users@nongnu.org https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/pan-users
