Some news groups have extremely large article lists. On an older, weaker
computer it can be impossible to load the whole list of article headers in
order to retrieve something from an older post that was found by a usenet
search.
If there were a number range or date range parameter that could possibly
bypass this problem. eg
Total header number is ?????????????. Retrieve range from ????? to ??????
OR
Retrieve headers from ???Date??? to ???Date???.
This way the actual number of headers retrieved can be managed by the
computer with limited capacity for data size.
I don't know if this is possible but if it is then it is something to think
about.
HTML messages here are not well liked here.
You can elect to get headers in 1 to many, many days worth.
Someone else may provide a better answer or even code your desire in a an
upcoming version.
