Just delete this specific package. I have the language files merged back with the main package in 0.133. Maintaining a separate language package is IMHO just not worth the effort for a program as lean as pan. I'll add a provides entry for the next rebuild. For your compile issue, just install package "gmime-devel" and that will fix it. You will probably hit another few of these dependency issues if you have not installed the GNOME devel pattern.
