I was just hoping we'd get lucky, and kill two birds with one stone, as
the saying goes.  To you it's probably very apparent it's in two entirely
different areas of the code, but as I'm not really a C/C++ reader let
alone coder (tho once in awhile I can understand short sections), it
wasn't to me, so I was hoping... =8^)
