I'm seeing something this behaviour, too. It seems to happen for (from my point of view) random binary articles. The ones that are broken are really broken - watching it in the task manager, it says that it's 100% complete, but it's shows a time left and kB/s. When the time gets down to a certain point the task gets requeued and the time left increases to where it was before. This repeats indefinitely.
It's the only major problem I'm seeing. Thanks for all the great work that's been put into this reborn Pan! The performance increases are super - with some overpopulated groups old Pan would crash on my machine, whereas the new Pan hardly breaks a sweat. freebsd 6.1 pan 0.117 Brian
I'm downloading a multipart binary file, which is shown as complete, and at some point (the current one was at 80%) it just stops. Other downloads from the same server continue, but this one is just stuck. Clicking "Redo" doesn't do anything. Deleting from the queue and re-saving doesn't do anything. Quitting and restarting Pan doesn't help. Saving as text doesn't do anything at all, it doesn't save a single part.
The only thing that helps is downloading 50 MB more PAR files, because there is absolutely nothing that Pan lets me do with this file... it won't even tell me what or where the problem is.
