This is the only one I'd be likely to use, but I'd likely use it
frequently.  I've updated the bug accordingly.  However, as I said in the
comment, I'd suggest implementing it as an "external viewer" option.  The
user could then make that "external viewer" a script that would route the
file based on filetype, or one that popped up a pipe-to dialog, or a
browser or similar app already designed to cope with a wide variety of
formats, or whatever, as they desired.  IOW, it would be more flexibile in
that it wouldn't popup a pipe-to dialog every time, unless that was how
the user wanted it and scripted the "external viewer" to handle things.

I could even envision users posting their scripts to the list, for
suggestions, improvements, and trading.  Perhaps a couple of good ones
would eventually make it to a "utilities" dir on pan.rebelbase, and/or one
could be included in the default distribution, to be modified by
individual users as desired. =8^)
