Hi Charles, I can now reproduce the expand/collapse bug 100%.
It occurs only in tabbed mode, and it happens in both the groups pane and the headers pane, as described in other posts. This experiment should illustrate the problem clearly: Enter any group with threaded posts and open any post so it appears in the body pane. Now hit '2' to switch back to the header pane in tabbed mode. Note that the title of the article you just read is still 'selected' in grey highlight. Now try to expand or collapse any *other* thread in the header pane. Note that title of the previous article changes from grey to blue and you jump to that same article in the body pane -- just as if you had clicked on that article again.
