I'm in the middle of a heap of package changes at the moment which

For now, try removing pacemaker-heartbeat (in retrospect, the way I

installing pacemaker.
the UNSTABLE packages for debian etch (at least amd64 version)
aren't
working on a fresh debian etch installation.
Where did you get the packages?
I'd say server:ha-clustering:UNSTABLE

if i try to start heartbeat it ends in a missing libpils.so.2 lib.
Ldd'ing /usr/lib/heartbeat/heartbeat says its missing the
following libs:
- libpils.so.2
- libplumb.so.2
- libplumbgpl.so.2
- libapphb.so.2
Strange. This has been fixed on Sep 25 and should be included in
2.99.1 according to the repository.
Still, it's not.
Lars: How comes?
Because I don't update the heartbeat packages every day.
Thanks,
Dejan
installing libpils0 manually installs only files in /usr/share/doc
and no
libraries.
On Debian, all packages apart from heartbeat are empty. Don't
know why's that.
Thanks,
Dejan

heartbeat 2.99.1-1
pacemaker 0.7.3-1
libpils0 2.99.1-1
