I have a follow up. I tried CalDAV in the Windows client "eM client" and found
a related bug.
Create an event in "eM client", then go to ownCloud and change, say the heading, now it will
disappear from "eM client", but it is still there in the SQL and on ownCloud.

What happend here was that it was deleted from ownCloud and the SQL
database. But it won't disappear from iCal.
Reproduced this many times. I had to delete the iCal cache and the
"Events" folder for that calender at my Mac. Then they ofcourse
disappeared.
