Hi OVN team, I would like to request a backport of the following patch titled "northd: Introduce disable_garp_rarp option for logical_router table" [1] to the 25.09.z branch.
We are maintaining a network plugin - ovn-kubernetes. We utilize the full OVN stack per host. When our network plugin, which programs OVN is down/not reconciling, we want to be able to suppress ovn-controller generated GARPs on its startup, resulting from SNATs. When our network plugin is down, we cannot be sure if the external IP defined in the SNAT has moved to another node. WIthout the aforementioned feature, we may GARP for an IP that isn't "owned" by the current host.
