Thanks for that. Learned something new. Switching map render to offroad in map view increased the contrast between footpaths and the background and also made the footpaths appear at lower zoom levels meaning I can see more area with the footpaths showing still
Is there a way of customising what zoom levels each type of symbol appears at? Also is there a way to identify what the symbols mean like a context sensitive key? E.g. press and hold on a dotted line and select "what is this?" And it says footpath or bridleway or whatever. The symbols change based on zoom level and map rendering style so it's more difficult to learn what each means.
