hi jim.
This is very fortunate, actually. I've been meaning to contact someone
from bookshare and discuss the ... how do I put this ... the general
lack of software to read the daisy standard. It's good that daisy has
murged with epub, I've heard that this was going to happen but I
didn't know it had already. But if daisy has murged, why has bookshare
opted to stick with daisy version 3? My other question revolves around
your list of software that you officially endorse, or recommend. I've
seen little, to no, software that runs on linux to read the books you
provide. I'm not complaining, just wondering if this is because there
is no linux software to handle the format, definitely possible, or
something else? If bookshare were to switch over to epub, linux would
immediately have software available to read the format. For now, we
have to resort to opening up the books in firefox, which is possible
but a little suboptimal, especially for large books.
Thanks
Kendell clark
