Sharing with anyone interested in open data / open gov.

When reading posts on osdc about open data and open gov, I'm always impressed by the examples given from the US or countries like the UK.

Why? Read this: http://openstate.eu/2013/08/open-data-netherlands-less-than-we-thought/

I live in the Netherlands, and from my own experience working as civil servant at my own municipality, I know the numbers in that post ought to be correct. We have so much data, but we do not seem to share it. Makes me wonder each time, why not. Lack of motivation, drive?

To explain one example, mentioned at the end of the post, only 8 municipalities share data. That, while there are just over 400 municipalities in the Netherlands.
